Job Overview

We are looking for a talented Website Development and Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role involves creating, maintaining, and optimizing websites for our clients. You will ensure that the websites are functional, user-friendly, secure, and regularly updated in line with business goals and industry standards. The successful candidate will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development

• Build, manage, and maintain responsive, functional, and user-friendly websites that adhere to brand guidelines.
• Write efficient, clean, and well-tested code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant languages.
• Implement new features, plugins, and functionalities to enhance website performance and user experience.
• Seamlessly integrate back-end services and databases to support website functionalities.

Website Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure smooth website operation.
• Regularly monitor website performance, optimizing for speed and ensuring high uptime.
• Conduct security checks, software updates, and backups to safeguard website data.
• Regularly audit websites for outdated content, broken links, or potential issues.

Content Management

• Collaborate with internal teams to update content, including blogs, landing pages, and product details.
• Ensure all website content is SEO-optimized and aligned with marketing strategies.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve website performance and functionality issues.
• Provide timely support for website-related inquiries and issues from stakeholders.

SEO and Analytics

• Implement SEO best practices to improve site visibility and ranking.
• Track website performance using analytics tools to guide future improvements and optimizations.

Collaboration

• Work closely with designers, marketers, and IT teams to ensure brand consistency and technical efficiency across websites.
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including hosting and domain management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in web development and website maintenance.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SEO strategies, Google Analytics, and website optimization tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in responsive and mobile-first design.
• Knowledge of website security best practices.
• Experience with graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).

Salary

₦300,000 / month
